ABOUT US

Choice Wine Club was co-founded by Mike Back, wine director and founder of Equatorial Wines; John Gordon, digipreneur and founder Choice Media Asia and Alexander Knight, Dachex Media.

The trio, two Australians and an Englishman, had one simple aim; to bring affordable quality, small batch, single barrel wines from Australia & New Zealand family owned wineries to the people of Singapore.

From Mike’s combined experience in the wine industry having started his wine career in Margaret River, Western Australia, and as dedicated wine lovers, Mike, John and Alex realized there was a lot of wine intimidation in Singapore’s over-saturated wine market as well as hassle with identifying, and ultimately buying quality wine at reasonable prices.

So, they decided to take the intimidation out of the equation and bring to you, the people of Singapore, awesome family owned, boutique wine from the new world, with a specific focus on Australia and New Zealand.

Mike explains, "we remove the hassle out of buying quality wine by selecting and sending you 6 or 12 hand-picked bottles each month. We allow you to choose your style of wine be it white, red or crisp bright sparkling. And if you don't like what we send you - send it back, we will replace it.

WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

CONSENT

How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
How do I withdraw my consent?
If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us at hello@choicewineclub.com.

DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
Payment:
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

SECURITY

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

Terms & Conditions

PRICING

The pricing of each of the Choice Wine Club packages are fixed, include GST and delivery.

PAYMENT

Payment will be made automatically on the 3rd of every month. Your statement will read “Equatorial Wines”.

GOODS CONDITION

All our customers are advised to examine all goods ordered at the time of the delivery. Any breakages or discrepancies in quantities of items delivered should be brought to the attention of the delivery personnel and to our customer service at the time of delivery.

VINTAGES

Vintages are subject to change, as wineries release new wines throughout the year.

No problems! Email us at hello@choicewineclub.com before the 20th of the month and we will be in contact with you to arrange a solution.

DELIVERY AND RETURNS

Your wines will be delivered to the Singaporean address given during the first (1st) week of the month unless otherwise specified. We will contact you 24 hours prior to delivery to arrange a time suited to you. Deliveries are made Monday to Saturday between 10am and 6pm.

DON'T LIKE SOMETHING

Please get in contact with us at hello@choicewineclub.com and we will arrange collection of the unwanted wines and organised a replacement for you. Also please give us your feedback so we can improve your wine selection next time! We are here to help.
